iQOO has officially launched the Z11 series in China, headlined by the Z11 and its record-breaking 9020mAh battery. Arriving just weeks after the Z11x debuted in India, the Z11 sets a new standard for endurance. Backed by a 165Hz OLED display and the Dimensity 8500 chipset, it delivers flagship-level performance without compromising on battery life. The Z11x, meanwhile, offers a slimmer alternative with a 7200mAh battery and Dimensity 7400 Turbo processor, giving consumers a clear choice between maximum endurance and sleek portability.

iQOO Z11 specs

The iQOO Z11 immediately grabs attention with its headline-grabbing 9020mAh “Ultra-thin Blue Sea Battery” developed in collaboration with Ningde New Energy. This is currently the largest battery ever placed in an iQOO smartphone. Despite the massive capacity, iQOO managed to keep the device relatively sleek at 8.25mm thick and 216.5 grams heavy, thanks to second-generation semi-solid state technology and fourth-generation silicon anode technology that achieves an industry-leading energy density of 879 Wh/L. With 90W flash charging support, the phone can be fully charged in approximately 66 minutes, and it also features global direct-drive power supply 2.0 for improved thermal efficiency during gaming.

The visual experience on the Z11 is equally impressive. It sports a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display (2800 x 1260 resolution) with a buttery smooth 165Hz refresh rate, making it iQOO’s first phone to feature such a high refresh rate for gaming. The screen supports 165fps gaming for titles like Naruto, Call of Duty, and Subway Surfers. Perhaps most notably, the display achieves a stunning local peak brightness of 5000 nits, with a full-screen maximum brightness of 2000 nits, ensuring exceptional outdoor visibility. Eye care hasn’t been neglected either, as the device includes 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and an optional full-brightness DC dimming mode.

Under the hood, the Z11 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Full-blooded Edition processor, built on TSMC’s second-generation 4nm process. This chipset delivers performance that sits roughly between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with an AnTuTu score exceeding 2.62 million. The device is equipped with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, paired with a 7,000 mm² VC liquid cooling system for sustained gaming performance.

In terms of camera capabilities, the Z11 features a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 main sensor with OIS (optical image stabilization), accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front-facing camera uses a 16-megapixel sensor. Durability is another strong point, with IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings alongside military-grade shock resistance certification.

iQOO Z11x Specs

For users who remain loyal to LCD technology, the iQOO Z11x offers a compelling alternative. This model is built around a 6.76-inch LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, but its standout feature is the 1200 nits full-screen maximum brightness, setting a new record for LCD phones. This makes it particularly suitable for outdoor use and addresses a common weakness of traditional LCD panels.

The Z11x packs a 7200mAh single-cell battery with 44W fast charging support. While smaller than its sibling’s battery, this is still an impressive capacity that promises excellent longevity. The phone weighs 219 grams and measures 8.39mm in thickness, with the added weight and thickness attributed to the physical constraints of LCD technology.

Processing duties on the Z11x are handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, also built on a 4nm process. While less powerful than the Dimensity 8500, it still offers solid performance for everyday tasks and light gaming, with an AnTuTu score exceeding 1.05 million. Memory configurations include LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The camera system on the Z11x includes a 50-megapixel Sony main sensor (without OIS) and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, paired with an 8-megapixel front camera. Like its premium counterpart, the Z11x also carries IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings, along with SGS五星金标 drop resistance certification. It also features a customizable RGB breathing light on the side—a fun addition for notifications.

iQOO Z11, Z11x Pricing

iQOO has positioned both devices competitively in the mid-range segment. The iQOO Z11 starts at 1999 yuan (approximately $275) for the 8GB+256GB variant, with the top-tier 16GB+512GB model priced at 3199 yuan (approximately $440). Government subsidies can reduce these prices further by up to 15%.

The iQOO Z11x is more affordable, starting at 1499 yuan (approximately $206) for the 8GB+256GB version, with the 12GB+512GB variant reaching 2199 yuan (approximately $302). Both models are now available for purchase, with early buyers receiving additional benefits such as extended battery warranty coverage.

The iQOO Z11 series represents a strategic split in the mid-range market. The Z11 targets gamers with a 9020mAh battery, 165Hz 1.5K OLED screen, and 5000 nits brightness for those who refuse to compromise on endurance or display quality. Meanwhile, the Z11x serves LCD loyalists, offering a rare high-quality LCD with long battery life—a potential "last chance" for PWM-sensitive users. Both models share IP68/IP69 durability. Whether you prioritize extreme brightness or eye-comfort, the Z11 series delivers where it matters most: keeping you powered all day.
